What Our Guests Say...
Windwhistle chalet

We had a lovely few days at Windwhistle chalet. The chalet was in a quiet beautiful location and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Beautiful Chalet On Top Of The Cliff

We spent wonderful holidays at Windwhistle. The small but beautiful chalet is well equipped and remarkably tidy. The view over the bay and the sea is spectacular and breathtaking. The private parking place is very convenient. To bring the luggage from there down to the chalet (and even more back up on the day of departure) is a bit challenging though.
If only the weather was as excellent as our rental…

Everything is as expected. I was warned about the steep walk to the chalet. The view is perfect. Our family was unfortunate to have the weather drastically change to rainy with strong winds. We only had one day to enjoy the delightful terrace in the summer sun. Luckily all luxury is available in the cottage so it’s no problem to enjoy ourselves here.
Perfect

The best kept secret a totally magical place I can’t recommend it enough we Will definitely be returning
Wonderful couple of days

Wind whistle chalet is a lovely place to get away from it all. The views take your breath away. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and enjoyed the decking and loungers. The chalet has everything you could need for a home from home experience. The only word of warning would be the path down to the chalet might be challenging for very young or elderly people. But for us it was a wonderful break in a fabulous part of the world. Thanks
Perfect

Windwhistle chalet has everything you need and more in a beautiful location – the views are stunning and we could even bring our dog – just just perfect
Windwhistle

First time we had stayed in this part of Cornwall and loved it,loads of things to do and see. Windwhistle views are amazing and a lovely place to relax and recharge. We will be hopefully be back next year.😊

A Stunning Little Find!

So impressed with this ‘compact and bijou’ hideaway by the sea. We took our two adult daughters for a short break and we were blown away by the stunning views & clean, well equipped and mostly comfortable accommodation.(small, comfy chair would be ideal in addition to sofa, for four plus staying) Access does mean a long, v. steep climb to parking and beach so travelling light is recommended. Despite this we thought it was absolutely wonderful and would definitely book again.
It Was Gorgeous!

The location was exceptional with endless sea, sky and light. The view is stunning. The chalet was comfortable, well equipped and very warm. Everything worked and was clean. It was all really easy. The beach was beautiful and the coastal walks sublime. It was a a proper break from it all. It could be the wrong spot if you are unable to face a few steep climbs with your stuff to your car and up from the beach. Well worth it if you can.
Wedding / Family Break

This place has some of the best views of the sea I’ve ever seen… every night we sat outside staring out to sea with a glass of wine!! We booked before my wife fell pregnant so at 6 months pregnant the hill was a bit of a struggle but fun at the same time… we loved the cliff walk to the beach and the cafe done lovely food… easy drive to many beautiful towns and villages and great for walks… loads of facilities in the chalet like BBQ nice sun loungers( we got extremely tanned on the terrace) and BBQ’D most nights on the lower level… kids loved it too highly recommend we loved it and fell in love with Cornwall too
Wow!

I have just spent an amazing week at Windwhistle! The views are out of this world. A perfect relaxing retreat from a very busy life. The chalet is equipped with lots of thoughtful extras, books on the local area, binoculars for watching the passing boats and wildlife and a games chest full of games for quality family time. With the beach right on your doorstep for early morning walks or body boarding on the fantastic waves! Although we didn’t try it, the Cliff Top cafe was always full. Apparently they do a great breakfast. A visit to Rames Head is a must for a superb view of Whitsand Bay! I will definitely be booking again soon.
Excellent Place For A Break

Everything we wanted for a mini break. Perfect location with fabulous views ideal for our mini moon. Enjoyed the walk to Rame Head which is further than you think 😀
Lovely

Extremely well equipped chalet with incredible views. Bring your binoculars for boat, bird and plane watching. We didn’t spot any dolphins so will definitely need to come again! Yes the path to it is very steep but the exercise means you can enjoy the breakfasts at the café at the top even more!
Beautiful Location

Lovely chalet with an outstanding view of the bay. Great for a peaceful escape and watching the sunset.
Beautiful view

The location of Windwhistle cannot be faulted, jaw-dropping views along Whitsand Bay, past Looe & into the distance past St Austell. As previously said, the location also means you have to do a bit of work to get there, which we expected. We would encourage people to travel light, rucksacks would be ideal, as there is a downhill walk to the chalet from the car, we got used to it, and the chalet is well worth the effort to reach it! The evenings were chilly & autumnal, but the woodstove was easy to get going, (& even ready laid for us!) and the chalet became really cosy. The View fish restaurant 10 min walk away, we highly recommend for a evening treat (check opening times, and book, it’s popular). Windwhistle Chalet & Whitsand Bay are a must for a really unique and different holiday experience. But, as the owners state, you need to be fit enough to walk the gravel path, 5 min down to & up from the chalet,
Serenity, and gorgeous cliff views of Whitsand Bay

If you like peaceful surroundings and dynamic views of the Cornish coastline then the Wind Whistle Chalet is just for you. My husband and I visited this cottage like chalet and we’re pleased to spend a lovely week hiking around the area, walking the beach, and just relaxing at this well equipped rental. Just sitting outside the chalet is delightful as we watched beautiful sunsets and listened to the sea. If you like nature, or just to relax then you will enjoy yourself. We even used the local bus service for a day trip to Plymouth…beats the driving. Bring walking shoes and enjoy Whitsands. Great place and good wifi and satellite tv to keep in touch.
Love at first sight!

Windwhistle is absolutely unique! Our family group, ranging from 2 years to 60, had the time of our life together. The chalet catered very well for all our needs in all the seasons that Cornwall could threw at us – wild and stormy to bright sunshine days and magnificent full moon nights. I really want to keep it all a secret as we definitely want to return and do not want it to become too popular. The surrounding area is beautiful with something different to do every day. Just love Windwhistle Chalet!
AMAZED SWEDE

As the title says, I was really amazed by Windwhistle chalet. It had a stunning view that I was fortunate to wake up to seven mornings in a row. Fantastic walking paths, we took a new one every day. I would especially recommend RameHead, where the view blew me away, if the wind didn’t first! They had a good cooking facilitie that was well needed when we were cooking our handpicked mussels from the beach. Favourite part of my whole trip was the absolute spectacular sunsets. Made me feel blessed as I was enjoying them with a glass of wine. I’m returning again this year!
Tregonhawke Thriller

We stayed for a long weekend at the Windwhistle Chalet and had a wonderful peaceful time with breathtaking views of Whitsand bay. The property was clean and well equipped. and access to the beach below was down a steep path. It was not for the faint hearted or unfit to access the property from the parking place. A trolley was provided but we arrived in the rain and cases got wet. However well worth the effort to get to Windwhistle.
What A Great Place

I stayed in windwhistle chalet with a group of friends. The chalet sits right on the coast with amazing views. You can see people walking their dogs along the beach, surfers in the sea and we even saw a submarine. Most of our time whilst at the chalet was spent eating and drinking on the decking area and in the garden. For meals we had a bbq everyday but there is a kitchen if you want to cook indoors. The beach isn’t far away, where there’s a place you can hire wet suits and surf boards. We all took a group surfing lesson. The accommodation has everything you need for a holiday, including WiFi so you can stay in touch with the rest of the world (if you choose to). I would recommend windwhistle chalet to others and would definitely stay there again.
